How it works

Not magic. Just math.

Snow, wind, temperature, elevation and drive time, read four times over by four weather models and argued down to one number.

Coverage

Counting the catalogue…

What we measure
  1. 01

    Fresh snow

How much, and when it lands. 30cm overnight beats 30cm spread over a week.

  2. 02

    Wind

Wind wrecks powder before you get to it. Less wind scores higher.

  3. 03

    Temperature

Cold keeps it light. Warm turns it to mashed potatoes by second lift.

  4. 04

    Elevation

Summit, mid-mountain and base are forecast separately. Some storms only pay off up high.

  5. 05

    Drive time

Routed from where you actually are. A closer mountain wins a tie.

Confidence levels

Every score ships with how much the four models agreed. The label is the honest part - it is what we would tell a friend, not a probability.

All-time

Worth it
Worth the drive.
Maybe
Could go either way.
Nah
